Bird Description:

A soft brown duck with red eyes and a gentle personality. Often found in farm dams, wetlands and estuaries and sometimes in large flocks.

Special features:

Nomadic, arrives suddenly after rain fills inland waters.

Pairs call softly “mweep-mweep” to each other like feathered whispers.
