Bird Description:

Long legged and alert, the Masked Lapwing is instantly recognisable by its yellow facial wattles and piercing calls.
Often found in open grassy areas, it is fiercely protective of its nest and chicks.
Despite its reputation, it is a devoted parent and an important part of open country birdlife.
