Bird Description:

This lively green lorikeet is patterned with yellow scale like markings across its chest.
Highly social and vocal, flocks move quickly between flowering trees, chattering constantly as they feed on nectar and pollen.
Their numbers swell dramatically when gums burst into bloom.

Special features:

These birds like our Rainbow Lorikeet have brush-tipped tongue for sipping nectar and they can gather in huge flocks when gums are flowering.

Did you know?:

It’s the only lorikeet that has an all-green head combined with a red beak!
