Bird Description:

This striking ibis is anything but ordinary. Its glossy wings shimmer green, purple and bronze, and its namesake straw-like neck feathers give it a bit of quirky flair.

Special features:

They’re excellent foragers, often seen in paddocks and wetlands where they probe for insects, frogs, and even locusts.

Unlike the often-urbanised Australian White Ibis, these beauties tend to stick to more rural and wild spaces, following rains across the country.
