Bird Description:

Glossy black and intelligent, the Torresian Crow is often heard before it’s seen. Its loud, nasal “aah-aah” calls ring out across open spaces, coastal towns, and bushland.

Special features:

It has a pale blue-white iris (unlike the black-eyed raven) and a strong bill perfect for cracking tough food.

Did you know?:

They’re crafty problem solvers and scavengers, known to dunk dry food into water to soften it before eating.
