A multi-stemmed shrub with very large, serrated, stiff hairy leaves, almost velvety to touch. Large cylindrical brush-shaped, green turning to orange, banksia flowers are followed by woody seed capsules that are persistent on the shrub. Prefer wet or poorly-drained areas.
